About Furry Bottoms Rescue

Who We Are:

Furry Bottoms Rescue, Inc. is a non-profit dog rescue serving Wisconsin and Northern Illinois. We are a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and can receive tax-deductible donations.

We do not operate a shelter so the number of dogs we are able to help depends on the number of foster homes we have available to house them. Please consider offering your home as a temporary refuge for a dog until a forever home can be found. It takes loving and caring individuals and families to keep us going.

Our Mission:

The mission of Furry Bottoms Rescue is to take in abandoned and displaced dogs, provide a safe harbor for them,  and then place them into loving, permanent homes. Some of our dogs come from shelters where they've been scheduled for the kill floor. Others are from private owners who no longer want their animals, or can't take care of them because family circumstances have changed and they need to find a new home for their dog.

Our Vision:

Every dog will have a forever home where they are loved and cared for!

Our Commitment:

  • We're committed to making sure rescued dogs are well-cared for. All of the dogs we take in are checked by our veterinarians, receive the necessary vaccinations and/or medical attention, and are spayed or neutered before being adopted.
  • We work hard to provide a good match between each dog and his/her adoptive family.
  • We provide long-term support for any questions or concerns adopters might have.
  • We're committed  to preventing cruelty to dogs by helping people learn about the proper care and training of their pets, including spaying and neutering as a way to decrease the homeless animal population.
