If you're interested in any of the dogs listed, you may mail us a completed Adoption Application. Since we do not operate a shelter, our dogs are fostered in private homes. To protect the safety of our Foster Parents and their families, an applicant MUST be approved prior to visiting a dog. Thank you for understanding this policy.

Our application process is as follows:

• Complete the Adoption Application and mail it to us at the address listed on it.
  

• We do a veterinarian and reference check, and call to schedule a time for one of our volunteers to visit you and your family at your home.

• Upon approval, we'll set up a time for you to come and meet the dog(s) at their foster homes.  When there is a good match between you and a dog, we'll ask you to sign an adoption contract and pay the adoption fee (we accept cash or check).

• The adoption fee helps to offset some of our expenses for the animal, and therefore varies depending on the needs of each dog. Please feel free to inquire about the adoption fee for the dog you're interested in.
  *Please add 5% sales tax to the adoption fee.

 

PLEASE NOTE: It is our policy to only adopt to homes where the cats and dogs currently living there are spayed/neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations.

Dogs adopted from Furry Bottoms Rescue include the following:

• Stool check/treatment
• Flea check/treatment
• Heartworm test
• DHPP/DHLPP vaccine(s)
• Rabies vaccine (age appropriate)
• Completed spay or neutering
• Pet Care Literature
• Lifetime support and training consultations
• A copy of your dog's veterinary records




For your peace of mind please know...  Furry Bottoms Rescue is committed to making sure the dog we adopt to you is well-cared for. All of the dogs we take in are checked by our veterinarians, receive the necessary vaccinations and/or medical attention, and are spayed or neutered before being adopted.  Our goal is for every dog to be happy and healthy, both here with us and in their forever home!
